School vouchers are supposed to provide government money to families to make private education more accessible to all. It sounds nice, but it's not.
Most families taking advantage of vouchers already had their kids in private school. Translation: Those families didn't need financial assistance. Voucher programs give wealthy families a deep discount on private schools they already had no trouble affording. Lower income families still can't afford private school tuition, even with voucher assistance.
On top of all that, voucher programs are one more way red states are dismantling public education and creating segregation without actually calling it segregation. It's a massive handout to the wealthy. And they're doing it with our tax dollars.
This tee's design pays tribute to the legacy of protest art that grew out of Latino and Chicano culture. The vintage linocut/woodblock print design is a bold expression of resistance, cultural pride, civil rights and community organizaing. Just like the OG style, the message is intentionaly bold, high-contrast, single color that can be understood at a glance.
